This modern house situated in a former industrial area in the center of Leiden, the Netherlands, designed by Pasel.Kuenzel. Design house is solving two of the most important needs of the urban housing: light and space. The house is divided into two parts, easily identified by differences in the materials used in the facade. The first, larger, part has a bedroom and living room has high windows and the interior with natural light to fill. The second part is long and narrow and contains service areas: bathroom, kitchen, utility room and stairs. The roof is not flat but slightly inclined to let more light in the bedroom and you could see the stars while sheltering roof garden view of neighbors and people on the street. This apartment for one family for four people located in a magnificent building in the south of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, designed by i29 Architects. The original structure of this apartment, with room for staff, a double room and long hallway with many doors have been converted to, residential area full of light and air transparency. An apartment kitchen cabinets combined with floor-to-ceiling panels have been laser-cut front, spray painted all white. This pattern results in a dynamic mix of open and closed cabinets, the holes also function as an integrated handle. Transparency provides the depth of the volume of leather objects equipped with furniture like a chair Grcic. An open atrium with stairs to bring natural light from large roof light into the living area. Along the walls of the stairs opened two stories tall covered with a clear pine, and connect the two levels.
